September 20 Meeting Notes

DOT manager Dave Bierschbach (left) and project manager Dan Lewis (right) presented  on the upcoming roundabout at the intersection of 5th and Sunset Hwy at the east end of the Sellar Bridge.  They talked about the process of researching options before deciding on a roundabout, which is much safer, and will keep traffic moving better.  They explained how the traffic flow would change once the intersection is reconfigured.

Announcements

Wednesday, September 28 United Way will host the Business After Hours.  Our club is a member of the Chamber, so any of our members can attend.  Enjoy free food and drinks as you network with local business leaders.  A good chance to promote Rotary.

Saturday, October 15 is a fellowship event that will take participants to Everett to tour the largest building in the US, the Boeing airplane construction factory.  A shuttle will take members to and from.  A sign-up sheet was passed around, so if you missed today, contact Wayne Massing if interested.

Monday, October 24 will be an event to celebrate 30 years of polio eradication efforts by Rotary.  All the area clubs are invited.  The main dish and drinks will be provided, and members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.  Come hear the story of how we are beating polio, and enjoy the fellowship with other Rotarians and family.
