Announcements

A board meeting is coming up on September 12th at Wild Huckleberry- 7:00 a.m.

A picnic is coming up on September 18th- more details to follow.

Mentor training was last week and three new mentors joined.

Lucas has arrived from France!  Be sure and check in with Maggie if you are able to do an activity with Lucas while he is here.

On September 12th at Skillsource, there is a meeting called "Membership Matters".  This is open to all the Rotary groups and anyone interested in the membership committee.  The meeting is from 6:00-8:30 p.m.  RSVP to Kathleen.

On September 17th, our Rotary group will be working the concession stand at the Wenatchee High School vs Kelowna game.  Sign ups will be coming around soon.

The Chaplainacy committee is made up of Milt, Kathleen and Erin.  Have something inspiring to start the meeting off?  Let them know!

Brags and Confessions

PJ is celebrating is 27th wedding anniversary.

Kathleen retired after 30 years in Health Care.  She is starting a new business called Tutor Doctor.

Jenny is back from Thailand with a new last name:
Rojanasthien.  (Ro Ja Na Sa Tea N)  There will be a test on the pronunciation :)
She had a beautiful Thai water ceremony in which many people shared advice and wisdom with the newlyweds.

Erik is headed to Africa visting a village in which they are going to install solar panels.  These panels will help save the lives of many young girls.  Consider donating to help buy one!  ($450.00 each)

Kevin is learning to crab and successfully caught 12 crabs, 4 keepers.

Club Assembly

Today's focus was filling up the committees.  If you are not signed up for a committee or three, please contact Jim Huffman and get connected.  We are a service club- find out where you can serve!
