Too cold for Golf?  Not at Golf Etc. in Wenatchee!  We are having a service club competition and we need YOU to join us for FUNdraising.
You and a partner sign up to play a round of golf at a virtual Couer d'Alene golf course.  Alternating hits, you work your way through the course.  Prizes are given for first place in each club and the winning team of all the clubs gets a plaque and bragging rites.  PLUS, 50% of your entrance fee goes back to our club. You can sign up at Golf Etc.

Packing Friendship is every other Wednesday at First Assembly of God.  Sign up with Wayne.

The Bike Ride committee is really heating up as we get closer to our annual fundraiser.  Although there is a core Board of Four who are AMAZING, we need EVERY club member involved in this.  The Bike Ride is Saturday, June 3rd.  Mark your calendars NOW and be ready for a big event on this, our 30th anniversary of the bike ride.

Remember the Board Meeting on January 9th, 7:00 a.m. at Wild Huckleberry.

Alex, a former challenge scholar, is going on a special medical trip.  A fundraising auction will be held at UW on April 30th.  Even if you can't attend the auction, you can donate to the auction or the fundraising efforts on Alex's behalf.  Contact Jim A, or Milt if you have an item to donate.

District Conference is coming up in Kelowna April 27-30.  Get signed up here.

Jerry returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic.

Kathy is 60!  Also, the museum is having its annual fundraiser called "A Night at the Museum" coming up- watch for details.

Leonard celebrated a birthday on New Year's Eve.

Jim wanted to remind everyone that January is Rotary Awareness Month.

Alice's suggestion for the new year: Put one happy thing in a jar each week of the new year, at the end of the year, you can go back and read all the good things that happened during the year.

Annie is back from Hawaii, and is now starting her Master's Degree program.

Program:

The Wenatchee Valley Senior Center was highlighted this week.  The senior center is a vibrant community that is NOT just open to seniors.  Anyone can be a member and most of the events are open to the public.  These events include lunches, dances, bingo and much, much more.

The Senior Center has a huge crab feed every year to raise money.  Additionally, they have a thrift store that is their biggest revenue generator of all their activities.

What this organization does is really amazing- check them out!  (I would like to go play bingo there one night or go to a dance, just for fun- even anyone in the club wants to join me, let me know.  -Annie)
