Million Dollar Dinner:

District 5060 is having a Million Dollar Dinner on April 7, 2017.

80% of the Rotary Foundation money comes from bequests given from Rotary Members.  The goal of the Million Dollar Dinner is to have our district raise One Million Dollars in gifts either as an outright Major Gift Donor, as an Arch Klumph Society Gift or as a Bequest Society Gift.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Foundation and the 30th anniversary of Ed Cadman's presidency of Rotary International.  Ed, a former president of the Weantchee Club, was passionate about ending polio, and his tribute fund can be found here.  Between the Ed Cadman fund and the Foundation, district 5060 is hoping for a successful Million Dollar Dinner.

Currently, your donation can be matched up to three times:  For every dollar you donate to the Ed Cadman fund, the Wenatchee Downtown club will match it dollar for dollar.  In addition, the Gates Foundation matches all donations 2:1.  This means that your $1.00 can become $6.00 for ending polio.

There are several ways to donate:
  • An outright gift
  • A gift to Rotary in your Will
  • Making Rotary a beneficiary of your Life Insurance
  • Direct contributions from your IRA (for those 70.5 years old and older)
  • and other ways..
For help on the best way for you to give, please contact Carolyn Ferguson (RI Giving Coordinator) at 905-304-6831.  You can also contact your local accountant or investment person.

Admission to the Million Dollar Dinner on April 7th, 2017 at the Wenatchee Convention Center is through a donation of $10,000 or more to the Foundation.
There may be tickets available for those who have given $10,000 in previous years - that is to be determined.
