Announcements - May 12

Thank you Sunrisers.  Through your donations, club funds, and an anonymous matching gift from one of our members, we will be sending $2000 to Shelterbox for their relief work in Nepal and other regions around the world.

The new sign at Rotary Park is installed and it is beautiful!  But some work remains.  Please reserve Saturday morning May 23 for a work party.  We will proceed with landscaping, irrigation, and running electricity to the site for nighttime lighting.  We need a little help with digging some holes, spreading fabric and bark, and running some drip lines. We will also be machine trenching for electrical conduit and then manually back-filling the trench. This is all pretty light work, so shouldn't take all morning with a few bodies to help.May 30 will be an all-service club fair at Pybus market from 9:00-2:00.  We will need a few members to take shifts.  We will be answering questions and promoting Rotary and our bike ride.

May 30 will also be a "ride the ride" route tour of the Century Bike Ride route from 2:00-5:00.  We will be tracing the route to the Lake Wenatchee pit stop (fire station), where we will have refreshments and play a couple games.  Then we head back to town and end at Godfather's for pizza. Families are invited to join us at the pizza party.

June 10 is our presidential changeover dinner.  This is a chance to celebrate what our club has accomplished through service and fellowship activities, and welcome in Wayne Massing and his Board of Directors for the 2015-16 year.  Dinner (prime rib and salmon) will be at the Wenatchee Golf & Country Club in East Wenatchee starting at 6:00, with a program following. Cost is $45 per person, and we will put it on your July invoice.  Bring your spouse and/or friends.

June 11 is the all-service club golf classic at the Wenatchee Golf & Country Club.  Our club will be putting together one or two teams to try to bring home the prize.  Contact Craig Robertson if you are interested in playing.  Cost is $100 ($50 for WGCC members). Tee time is at 1:00, with appetizers after the round.

Beer, Brats, Bikes - June 19 will be a TGIF at Kathleen McNalty's home to celebrate the success of the Century ride.  More details to come.
