The meeting was called to order at 7 am by President Robin DeRock.

Today is National Houseplant Appreciation Day

Program: Laura Gloria - Executive Services Director, City of Wenatchee

Laura formerly served as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Fresno, the fifth largest City in California with a population of over 500,000. She led a variety of projects and programs including applying, receiving, and administrating a $66.5 million Transformative Climate Communities grant.

Laura joined the City of Wenatchee in 2020 (just in time for Covid) but she has been very busy.


Laura presented a number of projects planned for Wenatchee over the next 1 to 10 years.

  • $10 Million Convention Center Expansion - Architects are close to presenting preliminary specifications for the planned expansion.
    • Funded with Lodging Tax Funding
    • Now

    • Artist Rendition of Expansion


  • "The Majestic" - A new office building with parking to be constructed on the corner of Mission and Kittitas (kiddy corner from Wild Huckleberry)
    • Projected completion - 2027 to 2030
    • 170 to 250 units
    • 10,000 sq feet of live-work space
    • 2 levels of parking
    • Rooftop assembly or amenity space

  • Confluence Parkway
    • This project has an environmental impact study due in 2023!
    • The project includes $85 million over 6 years when approved
    • Public Hearing - Jan 12th - 5:15pm at Wenatchee City Hall
    • Written comments due by 5pm on Jan 31st






2022 Wenatchee Valley Uplift Awards - Jan 14th - 10:00am to 3:00pm

President Robin presented Laura with a library book that will be donated to the Regional Library in her name.
