September 27th Meeting

Announcements:

Lucas says that all is going well with school and friends and he is excited to go to Homecoming.

Joan says all the Challenge Scholarship recipients are doing well.

Save the date for and October 24th - Rotary Potluck at the museum celebrating International Polio Eradication day with the other Wenatchee area clubs.  This will be a time of fun, education, and celebration focused on Rotary's efforts to end polio world-wide.  No morning meeting Tuesday, Oct. 25.

October 28th is the fall District Training Assembly in Osoyoos, BC.  This is for any Rotarian, but especially designed for officers, board members, and committee chairs.  Our club will reimburse the registration fee.

We can win $1000.00 for our favorite club project if we have the most members (per capita) registered for the District Conference by the end of October.  The conference is April 28-30 in Kelowna, BC.  Register online at www.rotary5060.org. - more details from Carol coming later.

The Boeing Factory tour is October 15th- contact Wayne if you are interested.

Rani bought a house!

Mike and Lisa went to Texas to spend some time with friends and then drove to Austin to spend time with Mike's daughter.

Erin donated money for her birthday.

Rebecca took the Airstream to Lake Bonaparte.

Alan celebrated his anniversary and is attending the wedding reception for his daughter on October 15th.

Jim H. accidentally used his wife's birthday in his dad's obituary.
