Program - Icicle Creek Center for the Arts

Rebecca Ryker from Icicle Center for the Arts presented an overview of the many educational and performance opportunities available to patrons at this exquisitely beautiful setting in Leavenworth adjacent to (not related) the Sleeping Lady Resort. Rebecca was joined by Jennifer Korfiatis, a former Sunrise Rotary member working for the center in marketing and public relations. The Icicle Creek Center for the Arts includes the Snowy Owl Theatre, a recital hall, private practice cabins, a beautiful meadow with performing stage. This year brought 127 events with 11,000 people attending. They are a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure liberal arts remain vibrant in this area. Their emphasis is on education and performance with year round workshops,etc. January will bring a new schedule of world class musicians and performances through June. The summer months are primarily for education and workshops with performances beginning again in the fall season. Tickets and information is available at the box office or online. There is a new membership campaign underway with the opportunity to become a charter member, volunteers are needed as well and internships are available.
