Club Assembly

Today we discussed 5 of our original 11 focus areas developed at the visioning process before the year started.  Tables answered questions about our goals, how we were doing and what we need to do next,  Areas discussed included club service, community service, new generations service, fundraisers, and public image.

Carol gave the past quarter's accomplishments:

  • New members – Jim Richardson, Kevin Love, and Bobby Black
  • Rotarians of the Month – Maggie Nelson, Jim Adamson, and Joan Wright
  • P. E. Wayne completed The Rotary Leadership Institute and attended P.E.T.S. (President Elect Training)
  • Mentorship Training for Challenge Scholars began and completed.  (11 members attending)
  • Bike Ride committee in full swing.  Attended Bike Expo in Seattle to promote bike ride.
  • Started the RYLA selection process.
  • Denise Barnett applies for Rotary Peace Scholarship
  • 100% of members give $100 to Rotary Foundation again.
  • Attended event to honor Earl Tilly who received Service Above Self award.  Highest award given through Rotary.
  • Continue to be generous to “Feeding the Kids” through the Green Cups.
  • Contributed to the “Packing Friendship Program”.  $450
  • Two Paul Harris Fellows given to member Jordan Carrell and Community member Justin Peterson.  Also given to Justin was $200 toward his project – Honor Flight
