Club President, Wayne Massing, presented certificates. Erik "pinned" each family member with the Paul Harris lapel pin.
Congratulations to the Holmberg family and to us for being fortunate enough to have Erik in our club.
- Jay Higgin's son Jonathan earned Eagle Scout honors. Congratulations
- Craig Robertson spent Thanksgiving in Colorado, driving there right behind a blizzard. He recommends not trying that for your family vacation. He had a lovely trip to San Antonio where his wife, Mandy, was attending a conference. He is most recently back from Puerto Vallarta, where Montezuma gained revenge.
- Erik Holmberg reported that Lindy made a safe and rapid return from California where she traveled in support of an eight-year old cancer victim and his family who searched (in vain, sadly) for the young man's hero. The 8-year old is my hero! And so is Lindy.
- Jim Huffman reports he is in maintenance mode and his health is well.
Surveying Club Member and Club Assembly. Club members were asked to complete a survey about what is going well and what needs improvement with the Club. A survey will be made available to those who did not attend, either through this blog or by email.
Club members then broke into groups representing several of our committees and brainstormed ideas to get better traction from the committees. Several groups reported progress, with plans for regularly scheduled meetings to help jump start activities. We need you on a committee (or two or four or six committees). Please let Wayne or any of the officers or committee chairs know if you want to participate. More to come on this topic at a future meeting.
Pot Draw. Wayne Massing was the lucky pot draw winner. He came within an inch of the top pay out of $30. Maybe next time...
