May 14 Meeting Notes

 Announcements

Our presidential changeover is tentatively going to be held July 2nd at our regular meeting time and place (7:00 to 8:30).  Bring spouses and friends and help us celebrate our year with Craig and bring in the new year with Rebecca.

Sunrise Club congratulated 6 multiple Paul Harris Fellows at our meeting today.  The Paul Harris Fellow is given in recognition anyone who contributes $1000 or more to The Rotary Foundation. Multiple Paul Harris Fellows are awarded to those who give additional $1000 to The Foundation.  We
want to thank the following for their support of Rotary through their giving: 

John Shapman (not pictured) and Craig Reese with a Paul Harris plus one; 

Carol Adamson with the Paul Harris +2; 

Jim Adamson with the Paul Harris +3; 

and Kathleen McNalty (on zoom) and Eric Holmberg with the Paul Harris +6.

Program

The program today was Wenatchee City Administrator Laura Gloria (first female city administrator). Laura updated us on all of the city projects which are as follows:

1) Convention Center expansion project which will take 15 month

2) Confluence Parkway 

3) McKittrick Ave. expansion

4) pedestrian bridge expansion

5) Mission and Kittitas streets development

6) S Wenatchee Ave. redesign and survey

7) wastewater treatment plant expansion

8) various utility projects (water, sewer, storm drain)

9) 9th St. stormwater restoration project

10) asbestos cement water main replacement

 After meeting notes

The raffle ticket Milt had was drawn, and he said it was actually Mansour's.  He didn't pick the right marble anyway.  

$10,000 RAR winner presented his check.  Kathleen and Carol presented the check to big winner Al Shuster and his wife at Building North Central Washington . The representative from Building NCW, our major sponsor, was also present.



The big ceremonial check was presented to Al and his wife at the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club Wednesday night by Carol (who sold him the ticket) and Wayne M.
